David Delgado Vendrell (Estudio Aquitectura) aportará al Programa del Wine Pleasures Congreso Internacional de Enoturismo una ponencia muy interesante para cualquier bodega de cualquier país a la hora de plantearse explotar más y mejor el gancho turístico de sus instalaciones. La arquitectura es un factor a tener en cuanta a la hora de preparar y/o actualizar su plan de marketing enoturístico.

Los asistentes al Congreso y dentro del programa After Congreso de Networking por las tardes tendrán la oportunidad de visitar una de las pocas bodegas de la DO Penedès y Cava (de más de 400 bodegas!) que claramente está optando de una forma activa por el enoturismo: Torrens Moliner. La Bodega comenzó en el Capital de Cava, Sant Sadurní y ahora está ubicada en la aldea de La Fortesa y como no el arquitecto de la nueva bodega ha sido David Delgado.

En la su ponencia David va a tratar lo siguiente:

” Cómo aplicar criterios arquitectónicos eficaces en edificaciones para la elaboración de vino que ya estén en uso o de nueva creación y que quieran adaptarse al mercado enoturístico emergente: valoración del potencial de espacios y/o creación de nuevos en relación a su uso enoturístico; análisis del entorno (rústico o urbano) y su aprovechamiento, etc…

1. CONTEX Breve repaso a la evolución de la arquitectura enológica para contextualizar el análisis. 2. TIPOLOGIAS: Breve análisis de tipologías de bodegas y de sus espacios. Las fases de elaboración del vino y la adaptación de los espacios que les dan cobertura para un aprovechamiento óptimo de los contenidos enfocados al enoturismo, cómo pueden ser recorridos, cursos, experiencias en 1ª persona, etc… Espacios industriales vs. espacios nobles en edificaciones existentes y de nueva creación.3. ANÁLISIS DE ESPACIOS en bodegas EXISTENTES: se tratará el cómo és posible adatpar con pocos recursos muchos de los espacios que las bodegas ya disponen y que no tienen adaptados al uso enoturístico. 4. BODEGAS de NUEVA CREACIÓN. Análisis estratégico del diseño, ya sea en fases o abordado en todo su conjunto, de las áreas destinadas a desarrollar el potencial enoturístico de la nueva edificación. Lenguajes arquitectónicos adequados a las características del entorno en el que se ubican. Encaje paisajístico de las nuevas construcciones, donde se resalte la vinculación de la bodega con el entorno que lo rodea a fin de conferir un imagen coherente para el visitante. 5. ENTORNOS. Urbano vs rústico. Cómo el entorno puede configurar nuevos usos o adaptar los existentes en bodegas.Nuevos espacios para la industria del vino y su compatibilidad con el mercado enoturístico”.

Torrens Moliner aposta per la sostenibilitat del mèdi ambient, utilitzant aigua de la propia finca (pou natural) per a el procès d’el.laboració dels seus Vins i Caves, per a el manteniment del entorn de la Bodega, i finalment per el retorn de les aigues utilitzades directament a les nostres Vinyes (conveni de vinasses), en funció de les necessitats de la pròpia TERRA.

Torrens Moliner with their CAVA ’s products are going to be participating on the next WORKSHOP WINE PLEASURES (10 th to 12ve of February 2010) at the Barcelo Montserrat Hotel.

Torrens Moliner participa el proper diumenge 8 de Novembre en la popular degustació de plats cuinats amb Cigronet de l’Anoia i atres productes anoiencs, acompanyat del Vi i el Cava Torrens Moliner.

Es una mostra i venda de productes artesans alimentaris de la comarca, òn a part del Vi i el Cava, també hi ha mel, embotits, làctics, etc.

In the states, it’s tough to find the winery that gives you a warm feeling of family tradition dedicated to wine and their consumers. It is more, trying wine after wine without great explanation or what went into preparing that certain wine. As we say a lot after a night of festivities, “It’s like bar-hopping from one to the next.” However, my visit to Torrens Moliner, TM, proved to me that there is such thing as learning while drinking alcohol, wine in this case.

Being a visitor in Spain, I wanted to take advantage of something that is not easily accessible in the states and that is to try the wine that is made from this country. I have been able to do so by buying wine from local markets and grocery stores but just recently I had the opportunity to try wine from a very private and local winery in Catalunya. To be exact, they are located very close to Sant Sadurní D’Anoia in La Fortesa, where their new winery construction is almost complete.

TM is a family owned winery that was started in 1986 and located in the heart of Sant ceilingSadurni d’Anoia and has since stayed small and private. To put its size in perspective to other wineries, its only international consumers it has partnered with is Mexico, Switzerland, and of course Spain. That was astonishing to me since wineries tend to find consumers pretty quickly. Yet, when finding out what TM’s objective, this made all the perfect sense. As their mission statement states,”… We have opted to self-finance the projects we have undertaken, to keep the business as a dynamic, independent, constantly-evolving family company.” Only making 60,000 bottles of wine a year, additionally, making 9 different wines and cavas, they are committed to their family and goals.

Having tried 2 of their cavas, Cava Reserve and Cava Gran Reserve, this company is on the path to do greater things. Not only making more wine throughout the year, but wine and cava’s that are delicious and to everyone’s liking. They have 3 different aged wines and each are easily identifiable by their unique colored cork stamps; white stamps mean 9 to 15 months of ageing, green meaning 15 to 30 months of ageing, and black meaning more than 30 months of ageing.

With their new winery, in La Fortesa, it is sure to help TM expand their consumer base and begin to gain more recognition around not only in Spain but around the world. Their objective of being a family tradition style winery, their new location has just that. A beautiful establishment, they are easy to get in touch with, always making themselves available for any last minute winery visits, but most of all, their dedication to being connected with its consumers and family.

Dia de portes obertes a la Cava

Durant la Setmana del Cava, el proper 12 d’Octubre, Torrens Moliner organitza un dia de portes obertes a la nova bodega. Per poder visitar la cava i vinyes , tot gaudint de l’entorn, juntament amb bona companía i una copa de cava Torrens Moliner.

Festa de la Fil.loxera

Sant Sadurni d’Anoia, està de festa !!! Com cada any, el foc, la llum, i el groc de la Fil.loxera surten pels carrers del poble.

Des del 1981, Sant Sadurní d’Anoia recorda amb la Festa de la Fil.loxera un episodi cabdal de la seva història, la plaga de Fil.loxera que a partir del 1887 va arrasar les Vinyes del municipi.

Un grup de persones del poble, anomenats Set Savis, van ajudar a difondre el remei per acabar amb la Fil.loxera, replantant les vinyes del municipi amb varietats provinents d’Amèrica, que eren immunes a l’atac.

Si teniu l’ocasió de poder visitar la Capital del Cava durant aquests dies, els Sadurninencs us farem partíceps de la història i tradició del poble.
